Are your backing tracks MIDI?

No definately not! All Cooltracks backing tracks are in the MP3 Audio format.
You can find out why our backing tracks are available as fully produced Mp3 audio instead of just a MIDI file here.

What is the quality of the recordings of your backing tracks?
|

A.
|
All backing tracks are recorded digitaly using state of the art digital recording equipment. We record and master our backing tracks in 24 bit at 44.1khz sample rate and then dithered to a 16 bit, 44.1 khz, 128 kbps MP3 audio file. This is an excellent quality MP3, comparable to CD quality, but at a much smaller file size making them perfect for downloading over the internet.

Can I hear the backing tracks before I buy?

Yes! We dont expect you to buy an audio backing track without hearing it first. All our backing tracks have demos or previews for you to listen to. To hear a sample of the backing track you want to buy, just click the listen button. Backing track demos play using the Macromedia Flash plug-in.

Do your backing tracks have fade out endings?
|

No. Unlike other backing track companies, our backing tracks are produced with live performance in mind. It´s unacceptable to expect a performer or band to try and fade out with a backing track, thats why all our backing tracks have creatively arranged endings. You can listen to the ending of each song on the backing tracks demo.

Are your backing tracks the same as the originals?
|

Almost!. Considerable effort is made to
produce the best and most professional mp3 backing tracks possible and we sometime make changes from the original recordings
where we consider it necessary. It is not always desirable
to reproduce music backing tracks exactly to the original.
In many cases exact reproductions would not be suitable
for a live performance. For example, repeat and fade
endings, or some recorded vocals can get in the way of a singers live performance, or too many recorded guitars can overwelm a live guitarist, or sometimes you just wished the artist had used real drums, instead of that old Korg KPR77 drum machine that realy does´nt sound right when you play the song live.

Are your backing tracks Karaoke backing tracks?

No. Karaoke backing tracks usually have a video or lyrics imbeded in them. However, you can still play our backing tracks on your Karaoke system if your player can play normal CD´s or Mp3´s.

Do you make Custom backing tracks?

Yes. We can produce ´custom made´ backing tracks for you.
With a custom backing track, you get a backing track to suit your special needs, for example in your desired key, or tempo, or with particular instruments removed. You can find out more here

How do I play your backing tracks?

You can easily play your backing tracks on any MP3 player. There are many of these devices available now and here is a list of some of the popular ones.
There is numerous software that allows you to play your backing tracks on your computer. Here are some poular ones.
Playing MP3 backing tracks on a CD or DVD player is possible on most new CD and DVD players. Of course you will need to burn your backing tracks to CD or DVD first. You will find more information on doing this below.

Can I get your backing tracks on CD?

Yes! You can purchase my backing tracks online and then easliy burn them to CD as an audio CD yourself, using your computer. If you have iTunes installed on your computer, you can burn your MP3 backing tracks directly from there. There is other free and cheap music CD burning software available such as Xilisoft MP3 CD Burner,
SC Audio CD Creater,
Acousta MP3 CD Burner. Most of this software also allows you to play DJ, and make your own playlists!

How many times can I download the backing tracks I buy?
|

You can download the backing tracks you´ve bought a maximum of 3 times. Your backing tracks will be available for download for a maximum of 48 hours from your time of purchase.
After this you won´t be unable to download them any further. However, if you need access to them after already downloading them or after the 48 hours is up, you can email us and we will try and help you.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept Visa, Mastercard, Paypal, Paymate and Direct Deopsit / Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT).
For Credit card, Paypal and Paymate paymets, your backing tracks will be immediately available to download.
For direct deposit payments, your backing tracks will be available once your payment has cleared. This usually takes 2 to 5 days.
You will receive an email from us advising you your backing tracks are available to download.

What if I am not in Australia, can I still buy from your site?

Yes! you can purchase from any where in the world provided you have a Visa card, a Mastercard, a Paypal or Paymate account. As our backing tracks are only available as download from this site, purchasing your backing tracks is very quick and very easy.

Do you give refunds?

Demo´s are provided on each backing track to enable you to check the key, arrangement and quality before you buy. For this reason refunds cannot be given. However, if the backing track has been damaged during downlaod, we will offer you further downlaods of that particular track.

How can I sign up for your newsletter?

Thats easy! When you join up on our site, you´ll be asked to click a checkbox to receive our newsletter. You can also login to ´My Account´ and there´ll be a link to receive our newsletter. We take your privacy seriously and won´t spam you or sell our mailing list to anyone. The only mail you´ll get from us will be the newsletter. Also, you can unsubscribe at any time.

No. We only sell backing tracks. Therer are many websites offering song lyrics.
